Kendric Allen Arthur Sr. was born in Darlington, South Carolina, and attended the public schools in Darlington County, graduating from Mayo High School. Kendric earned a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science with a minor in Elementary Education from South Carolina State University. He also completed further graduate studies through South Carolina State University.

Kendric was fortunate to have a fruitful career as a Mental Health Counselor, Coach, and Educator. Kendric began his career in Bamberg School District Two as an Outreach Worker with the Denmark-Olar Teen Life Center. During this time, he continued his passion for sports coaching for Denmark-Olar High School. Kendric worked in the Orangeburg area with the Orangeburg Area Mental Health Center as an Employment Specialist, Clinical Counselor, and Day Treatment Counselor.
